Marvel has announced an expansion to the mega-selling civil War II event with Civil War II #8 coming to stores later this year. Creators David Marquez and Brian Michael Bendis are again the driving force behind this new edition to the series.

In a press release Bendis stated: “fans already know that a lot is going to change in the Marvel Universe post-Civil War II but we’ve kept some secrets secret and issue #8 is chock full of them.” Once again it appears the popular Marvel universe heroes are standing on opposite sides, both fighting to preserve the security of the future. Bendis further commented: “I thought of a different, hopefully better, way to tell our ending.  It’s not a different ending but a different way to tell it and I am so happy that Marvel gave us this chance to do our thing “ – suggesting an interesting addendum to the story do far portrayed in the marvel Civil War series. David Gabriel, who is a sales and marketing executive at Marvel, followed up on this theme: “Bendis and Marquez are given the added freedom to present a story that is going to bring the war to a cataclysmic ending with seismic changes to the Marvel Universe.

The story of edition #8 will focus on the ‘predictive justice’ issue, our heroes can use this power to defend the world from future dangers or seek to change the future itself to prevent them from happening altogether. The inhuman, Ulysses, is at the center of the conflict, who has the ability to see into the future in predictive visions and possibly his final vision will be revealed in this episode.

Captain America and Iron Man gather their factions and will come face to face in a confrontation, as the opposing sides in the Marvel Universe superhero civil war saga are lined up against each other.

“Ideologies have been challenged, alliances have been tested, and battle lines have been drawn” – but who will emerge victorious from the conflict and how will this battle affect the world outside the superhero dispute? Find out in the latest issue which will be out in the very near future.
