Batman: Arkham VR released by Warner Bros and Rocksteady Studios
Batman: Arkham VR the first virtual reality Batman experience was released by Warner Bros in October. The technology behind virtual reality simulators is still experimental, but the results are steadily becoming more authentic. In Arkham VR the fans of Batman get to relive the caped crusaders adventures, visit Gotham City and its well known landmarks. In this virtual reality game players enter into an original story line as Batman and must solve a mystery using the Dark Knights crime-fighting expertise and utility gadgets.
The game was developed by Rocksteady Studios and is available on PlayStation VR. Rocksteady understand the Batman universe very well, having previously contributed a number of Arkham games to the franchise.
“It was a game changer for the team because we could put the player inside this universe for the first time and let them become The Batman,” commented the Creative Director at Rocksteady Studios, Sefton Hill, “It’s been amazing to see the reactions of players as they descend into the Batcave, don the cowl and delve into an emotional mystery.”
