The new comic event of the summer 2017, helmed by Scott Synder James Tynion III, begins with the mystery of The Forge. We were promised startling and game changing revelations in the new Dark Nights Metal franchise from DC Comics, and they are about to be delivered.

Aquaman, The Flash and more of DC’s pantheon of heroes suspect Batman of hiding a dark secret that could threaten the very existence of the multiverse! It’s an epic that will span generations-but how does it connect to the origins of one of DC’s most legendary heroes?

Art work and cover designs are from Andy Kubert, Scott Williams, Jim Lee and John Romita Jr. We can expect other new titles within the Dark Metal universe. The Casting will be released in July.

The synopsis of The Casting series is that the Joker’s surprise attack threatens to lay waste to all of Batman’s carefully laid plans. Will the Dark Knight be able to regain the trust of his closest allies, Green Lantern and Duke, and prevent the forces of darkness from consuming the DC Universe?! Will Hawkman’s warning stop our heroes from peering into the abyss?

Dark Nights The Forge will be published by DC Comics on June 14th. While The Casting has a scheduled publication date of July 12th.
