The first comic book adaptation of the video game was published by Titan Comics in April, 2016 entitled “Dark Souls”. Titan have announced a new collection of Dark Souls tales “Legends of the Flame” set in “a realm where hollowed champions rise and fall with the ages, where brave knights quest for absolution and bonfires blaze against the everdark, myth and legend will forever prevail”.

Dark Souls, the video game, was created by Namco-Bandai and is regarded as one of the most critically acclaimed and bestselling video games ever made. By June 2016, the Dark Souls franchise had sold 8 million copies. The comic will be building on the universe and established lore of the video game series.

The writing team for the new Dark Souls comic will be Dan Watters, George Mann and Tauriq Moosa. While the artists and illustrators attached to the project are Alan Quah, Damien Worm and Piotr Kowalaski. Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1 will be published by Titan Comics on September 14th.
